Petar Milas Stops Joel Tambwe Djeko With Fourth-Round Knockout in Ingolstadt

Petar Milas made a strong statement on Saturday night, defeating Joel Tambwe Djeko by knockout in the co-main event of “The Show Must Go On VI” in Ingolstadt.

The Croatian heavyweight controlled the contest from start to finish and looked comfortable throughout all four rounds. Using smart movement, fast combinations, and disciplined tactics, Milas consistently kept Djeko on the back foot while showing the skill set that continues to make him an interesting name in the heavyweight division.

Milas impressed with his mobility and ring control, moving far lighter than most heavyweights and setting the tempo early. He also frequently switched stances during exchanges, making it difficult for Djeko to settle into the fight or find any real rhythm offensively.

As the rounds progressed, the pressure from Milas became too much for the Belgian fighter. Djeko spent long stretches backed up against the ropes while struggling to deal with the Croatian’s accurate punching and constant movement.

The ending came in round four. Milas connected with a clean combination that sent Djeko crashing to the canvas. The Belgian remained down, and the referee waved off the fight, awarding Milas an emphatic knockout victory.

The performance further boosted Milas’ growing reputation at heavyweight and showed that he may be ready for a bigger stage. Following the fight, promoter Burim Sylejmani suggested that a significant opportunity could be next for the Croatian.

Given that Milas recently appeared on the undercard of an Agit Kabayel event promoted by Queensberry, there is speculation that another appearance on a major Queensberry show could soon be on the horizon.

The full event is available to watch on DAZN, PRIME FIGHT, FightPlus.EU and VIASPO
