This Saturday, the Glaspalast Sindelfingen will become the stage for top-class professional boxing. In the evening’s main event, light heavyweight Ardian Krasniqi will face Argentine Diego Ramirez – a clash promising excitement and international significance.
Mission: Title Defense – Krasniqi Aims to Take the Next Step
For the undefeated Ardian Krasniqi (10-0, 10 KOs), a lot is on the line: the WBO Intercontinental title, his greatest sporting achievement to date, is at stake against one of the toughest opponents of his career. The 28-year-old from Rottweil has been in intense training since early January.
“Ramirez is tough, aggressive, and can go the distance. I’ll face him with my physical strength and technique,” says Krasniqi, who, as the nephew of former European champion Luan Krasniqi, carries a big name – and aims to live up to it with his own accomplishments.
The Toughest Opponent Yet: Diego Ramirez
Diego Ramirez (27-12-1, 6 KOs) brings significant experience to the ring, having been a professional since 2015. The South American champion has logged 271 rounds and is unafraid of international challenges. He has previously faced the likes of Vincent Feigenbutz, Luka Plantic, and Padraig McCrory. Ramirez is seen as a battle-tested and resilient opponent – a true litmus test for the young German.
Krasniqi Eyes the World Stage
A win on Saturday could propel Krasniqi into the WBO’s Top Ten and bring a potential world title shot within reach. “It was clear the WBO would assign me a strong opponent – after all, this is about reaching the world stage. I want to master this challenge and take the next step in my career,” says Krasniqi.
Since his professional debut in 2022, Krasniqi remains undefeated – ten fights, ten knockouts, in just 16 rounds total. He claimed the WBO Intercontinental belt with a quick KO win over Saul Ivan Male in September last year.
Strong Undercard Featuring Cinkara, Bormann & More
The undercard also delivers: cruiserweight Hüseyin Cinkara (22-0, 18 KOs) takes on hard-hitting Venezuelan Juan Diaz (12-2, 12 KOs). Cinkara was originally scheduled for a title bout against Jai Opetaia, but an injury postponed that match.
Rainer Gottwald “The Brain” Returns from Afar
Also notable is the new collaboration between veteran boxing manager Rainer Gottwald and Rottweil’s “PrimeTime Promotion.” Now based in Thailand, Gottwald is bringing his fighters back to the German stage – including prominent names:
Sarah Bormann (19-1, 7 KOs) will defend her WBO world title in the minimumweight division against Isabel Rivero (10-2-1, 1 KO). Her ultimate goal is a showdown with multi-world champion Tina Rupprecht.
Alex Alselo (15-1, 9 KOs) will fight Elias Hidalgo (5-2, 4 KOs) for the WBO Junior Title in the super welterweight division. Daniel Dietz (14-1, 13 KOs) will face Jerome Speier (1-1, 1 KO) in the heavyweight division, aiming to bounce back after his loss to Granit Shala.
The entire event will be broadcast live on www.fightplus.eu, so don’t miss your chance to witness world-class boxing action from wherever you are.
